Ross House

DLTA were asked to design this new residence on a challenging steeply sloping site in Havelock North.  It is generally single storey but does have a first floor retreat that separates the master bedroom, en-suite, study and storage from the remainder of the building.  It is clad in cedar weatherboards complemented by dark coloured Shadowclad.  The building sits comfortably in its woodland setting, partly through use of suitable materials and colours, and partly through cutting the building into the existing hillside.
