Bennett and Pearson – Optometrists Premises

The brightly coloured, strongly accented external design for Bennett and Pearson Optometrists was part of a renovation to the premises of a former radio station. The design was conceived as part of a counter-reaction to the monotone exterior and tired decor - an attempt to make a greater visual impact and to give the building a different identity.

Although, this isn’t an Art Deco exterior, the design still incorporates strong colours and neon lighting in a way that preserves the character of Napier’s heritage whilst ensuring a vivid statement on a prime commercial site.

The overall design intent was aimed at giving Bennett and Pearson Optometrists a clear and visible presence to meet the commercial and competitive challenges of providing a professional service.
